On an early May evening, the 680' M/V Adam E. Cornelius is leaving Duluth, MN after loading taconite pellets at the Missabe Docks and is now downbound for  Ispat - Inland  Steel's plant in Indiana Harbor, IN. The vessel, shown here in Inland's colors, is actually owned by the American Steamship Co. but was leased to Inland for a short time. The wood ducks are soaking up the last warmth of a setting sun and are on their way north during their annual migration flight.
