Welders from the workboat Maxine Thompson of Fraser Shipyards in Superior, WI continue to repair the 767’ S/S Phillip R. Clarke of the Great Lakes Fleet. The vessel has loaded a partial load of taconite here at the Canadian National Railway (formerly Missabe) Docks in Duluth, MN after unloading Michigan limestone/dolomite. As soon as repairs are completed, the Clarke will depart for Two Harbors, MN on the north shore of Lake Superior where it will complete loading for Gary, IN.
